Kyle Richards Looked Ravishing in Her Daughter Alexia’s Black Dress for an Oscar Party
The RHOBH cast member showed off a look that was worthy of the silver screen at the 2023 Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.
In August 2021, Alexia Umansky revealed that the black-and-white polka-dot dress by Rotate Birger Christensen she wore to a wedding happened to come from her mom Kyle Richards’ wardrobe. More recently, Kyle decided to dip into her daughter’s closet for a very special event.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG took to her Instagram Stories on March 12 to reveal she “stole” a long black gown to wear to that night’s 31st Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party — and she looked utterly glamorous in the process.
Before hitting up the soirée, Kyle shared some behind-the-scenes details about her full look, showing off two fabulous pieces we’ve seen her rock before: a Glitter Mini Rockstud Spike bag by Valentino she brought to Crystal Kung Minkoff’s 40th birthday party, and a colored diamond necklace from Peter Marco she wore to a friend’s wedding. Her accessories also included sparkling diamond stud earrings.
While the RHOBH ladies sometimes lean on a professional glam team to craft their beauty looks, Kyle revealed she put together the smoky rosy makeup and high ponytail with sultry face-framing pieces all by herself for the evening.
The mom of four looked just as spectacular on the event’s silver carpet as in her Instagram Stories, posing in the strapless number with black stiletto heels peeking out from underneath.
Taking a peek inside the party we got a glimpse of Kyle all smiles with her husband, Mauricio Umansky, who donned a classic black suit with a charcoal gray tie for the occasion.
Also present for the family affair? Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton, who posed for a photo with Kyle in a glamorous black sheath of her own that featured purple, orange, and white floral embellishments on the front of the dress. Kathy paired the style with a chic black manicure, while Kyle showed off a silver metallic manicure that accompanied her look perfectly.
This isn’t the first time Kyle has pulled out all the style stops for the Academy Awards. Last year, she celebrated at Elton John’s event in a sleek high ponytail and a color-blocked black-and-white caped gown. The style maven accessorized with a sparkling lasso necklace, large stud earrings, and a boxy silver clutch. The Kyle x Shahida fashion designer added subtle pops of color with a bright pink manicure and dusty rose eye makeup.
