The Beverly Hills Housewives Slayed the Runway at Kyle Richards' Fashion Show
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies stunned in lingerie and silky robes at the Kyle + Shahida New York Fashion Week event.
Fashion week is in full swing, and Bravolebs from coast to coast are taking the bi-annual sartorial spectacular by storm. Last week, we saw Bravo's Project Runway alums showcase their collections, Real Housewives attend fashion shows in style, and Bravo's model daughters steal the spotlight at the hottest fashion week parties. This weekend, it was all about Kyle Richards' newest fashion venture, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast took over New York Fashion Week in support.
On Sunday, September 8 (less than a week after announcing that she was launching a resort-ready fashion line), Kyle debuted her Kyle + Shahida collection on the runway. The collection emulated Kyle's breezy, glamourous style. There were flowing maxi dresses with nautical patterns, unbuttoned blouses paired with wide-leg trousers, floral silky robes worn over sheer lingerie, a striking hot-pink ruffled jumpsuit, and a yellow evening dress with a plunging neckline. The whole feel was of being on a glorious island vacation with a brightly hued luxurious-yet-comfortable wardrobe to match.
Who better to model the looks than Kyle's fellow Housewives? Erika Girardi was the first Housewife to strut down the runway, in an oversize print blouse and red wide-leg pants. Lisa Rinna showcased her mile-long bronzed legs in lace-up black lingerie, which she topped with a silky printed robe. Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave also highlighted her incredible figure in a sheer pink bodysuit, a floral print robe, and pink PVC heels.
Denise Richards went lingerie-meets-rocker, pairing a dark floral robe with a black lacy bodysuit, black pants, and Femmes Sans Peur boots. Dorit Kemsley worked the runway in a show-stopping pair of red leather paper bag pants, a black crop top, a black blazer, and black boots. RHOBH friend Faye Resnik also served as a model, wearing a red floral robe over a sheer white bodysuit and black pants.
Of course, the show wouldn't be complete without Kyle's stylish family. Daughters Sophia and Alexia Umansky also showed their runway prowess while modeling ruffled Kyle + Shahida eveningwear. Nieces Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton Rothschild cheered on their aunt from the front row of the audience. Also spotted in the audience: Get a Room with Thom & Carson's Carson Kressley, runway expert J. Alexander, and Lisa's model daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray Hamlin.
At the end of the presentation, Kyle and her co-designer, Shahida Clayton, took the runway. Kyle could not hold back her joy as she rushed to wipe the tears that were streaming down her face.
Congratulations on your gorgeous collection, Kyle!
