In the video above, Kyle Richards described the "big Hanukkah dinner" she has with her family each year. The July 13 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shared a look at the details of her 2021 holiday meal, and Kyle opened up about what the celebration means to her.

Although she "didn't know what [Hanukkah] was" when she was growing up, Kyle explained in an interview, "When I made the commitment to convert [to Judaism], I always knew that I would bring this into my home and celebrate these holidays."

For the dinner at their Encino home, Kyle and Mauricio Umansky hosted members of Mauricio's family as well as Dorit Kemsley and her two kids, Phoenix and Jagger. Before her guests arrived, Kyle was already excited to give them gifts. "I got them the cutest Hanukkah pajamas," she declared. Of course, Kyle had her own festive attire as well: "great Hanukkah shoes," which were blue with sparkly silver details.

The group ate fruit, cheese, challah, and a variety of desserts (among other delicious foods), and the adults sipped champagne and wine throughout the night. "Hanukkah is probably my favorite holiday," Dorit said in an interview. "I grew up with all the Jewish traditions, and I'm grateful for that. Now I want my kids to experience it."  During the episode, Jagger excitedly explained to the group why Hanukkah is celebrated, and Phoenix lit the candles of a menorah (with Kyle's help).

Although Kyle and Dorit have celebrated many occasions together, this one was particularly important. "Dorit has had very difficult days since the burglary. So to see her happy, relaxed, with our kids enjoying Hanukkah, it just means a lot more now," Kyle explained in an interview. "To have these special moments that you have with friends and family, it's when I'm really grateful that I converted."
