Here’s How Kyle Richards Really Feels About Alexia Umansky Still Living at Home
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom opened up about sharing a house with her 26-year-old daughter.
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s daughter Alexia Umansky has joined the family business. At 26 years old, Alexia is a quickly rising star at The Agency. But in all of Los Angeles, there’s only one address the real-estate pro wants to call home: the Encino house she grew up in.
Alexia still lives at home with Kyle and Mauricio. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter frequently posts photos of her family’s legendary backyard, sharing peeks at the outdoor space as it transitions from one season to the next. And when people ask Alexia why she hasn’t moved out of her parents’ house yet, those same flower-filled pictures are part of her response. (By the way, you can take a complete tour of the storied yard in the clip above.)
In a May 3 Instagram post, Alexia wrote, “I am frequently asked why I still live at home with my parents… well… damn, it’s hard to say goodbye.” The post featured a video that showed off the yard’s vegetable garden, vibrant roses, and mature trees. The family’s beloved dogs also made cameos in the video, happily wagging their tails as they frolicked through the space.
Kyle caught wind of her daughter’s heartfelt post and reposted it in her own Stories. She added a caption that made it clear how she really feels about Alexia’s current living situation. “[Alexia] made a video showing some reasons why she still lives at home,” the RHOBH OG wrote. “I am SO grateful that she does.”
In addition to a gorgeous yard, Alexia has a beautifully designed bedroom. The real-estate expert gave her room a little revamp last year and showed off the results in her Instagram Stories. She’d chosen to give her walls a fresh coat of forest green paint. The dark color popped against the room’s white trim and pale wood floors. “I changed my room to green, just btw,” Alexia captioned her post.
Alexia and her parents also have cozy traditions that can only be carried out at home, including partnering up to cook dinner. Back in 2020, Mauricio shared a video on his Instagram Stories to show off a mouthwatering home-cooked meal of salmon, salad, and several side dishes. Working alongside her mom, Alexia declared, “We cooked it together!”
As Kyle and Alexia prepared the meal, Mauricio and Kyle’s youngest daughter, Portia, danced around the family’s living room while Mauricio sang along to “Jack & Diane” by John Mellencamp. The family even had a special dessert to look forward to after dinner. In honor of Portia’s birthday, the meal ended with cake.
