Kyle Richards Shows Inside Daughter Portia's Redecorated, "More Mature" Bedroom
"The first thing we had to do was get rid of all of the pink, fluffy stuff," the RHOBH mom said while showing off her 12-year-old's new décor.
Kyle Richards' youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, continues to grow up before our eyes. This year, the 12-year-old celebrated her graduation, debuted a new look, adopted an evening skincare routine, and, most recently, decided she was ready to say goodbye to her childhood bedroom décor.
"Portia just turned 12 and she wanted to redo her room," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member said in an Instagram Story video. "So the first thing we had to do was get rid of all of the pink, fluffy stuff and change it up for a more mature look."
While curtains still offer a pop of pink in the room, the space features wood furniture, modern lighting, and adorable wall part. Chic white bedding with gray decorative pillows perfectly match Portia's new quatrefoil lattice pattern gray-and-white rug from Ruggable.
While the bedroom is flooded with natural light during the day, after the sun sets the space is equipped with the coolest nighttime feature. In a July Instagram Story, Kyle showed Portia sitting on her bed in the dreamiest setting thanks to a laser projector creating the appearance of a starry night sky on the ceiling and walls. Weeks earlier, Kyle showed off a similar setup in her Aspen home's living room, tagging laser light company BlissLights. According to its website, BlissLights' Sky Lite product "shines a universe of moving laser stars against a drifting blue nebula cloud."
Portia's older sister Alexia Umansky also has an incredibly chic room in the house. While celebrating her birthday in June, the realtor shared photos of the space, which has its own fireplace and a gorgeous desk setup. The following month, Alexia gave her Instagram followers a closer look at her bed topped with leopard-print pillows and a $950 velvet Gucci cushion featuring tiger and floral embroidery.
