Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Has a "Sneaky Mommy" Trick For Making Her Kids Eat Their Veggies
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom's technique is so stealth, the kids don't even know it's happening.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is like all of us (and like Bethenny Frankel, too): Sometimes, especially on a Sunday, she just doesn't feel like going to the grocery store. So, when her little ones craved a pasta dinner on August 5, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom got "creative-ish" by using what she already had in her cupboards. And, being the health-conscious mommy that she is, Teddi even snuck in some extra fiber.
To begin with, she pulled out a few ingredients including pasta shells with a secret twist. "I like to use the Banza shells because they're made from chick peas," she said, flipping the package over to show that the shells contain 25 grams of protein. In her caption, Teddi noted that her kids couldn't taste the difference between the chickpea pasta and the regular kind — and that's not where the sneaky veggie action ended.
In a post captioned with "sneaky mommy," Teddi showed a pile of chopped green beans. "I chop up the green beans and put them in the pasta sauce just because it's easier than putting them on the side and the kids saying: I don't want to eat my green beans. This way, they don't even know [they're eating green beans]," Teddi said.
Stealth! And, the meal looks pretty delish. Take a look at Teddi's process photos below:
