Even humans sometimes have trouble telling the difference between pools and fountains. (Think that famous scene in La Dolce Vita when Anita Ekberg bathes in the Trevi Fountain.) So what did Kyle Richards expect when she moved into a house with an Italianate fountain in the front yard?
Apparently she did not expect that her dog Storm, who is part-Newfoundland, part-Saint Bernard and part-Leonberger, would take a dive in it. Which is exactly what that giant fluffball did, of course. And can we blame her? No! That water looks crystal clear and extremely enticing!
(By the way, can we just take a minute to stop and talk about how Kyle’s new house is basically perfect?)
In a series of videos Kyle posted earlier today on Instagram, she showed Storm jumping in the fountain, and then being chased out … only to return after a brief dive in the hedges. Yes, there are hedges at her new house. Manicured ones.
We have a feeling that Storm won’t be able to resist the lure of that cold marble bathtub, especially on hot days. And we don’t blame her. (And neither would Archie.)
We wonder if any of Kyle’s other dogs have taken the plunge yet? River, a German Shepherd, and Bambi, a Golden Retriever, would have no trouble getting in themselves. But Romeo, a Pomeranian, and Khloe, a Yorkiepoo, might need a boost from their siblings. Or, shall we say, from Kyle’s daughter Portia?
As much as Kyle scolds her pups, we know that she adores them.
