Cary Deuber Opens Up on Her Decision to Get a Hysterectomy: "I Can't Have Any More Children"
The Real Housewives of Dallas pal can't get pregnant again because of this health issue.
Cary Deuber couldn't be cuter with her 5-year-old daughter, Zuri. (Need proof? Click here for an adorable visual.) But pregnancy and childbirth was another story for The Real Housewives of Dallas mama, who had to get a hysterectomy after delivering her daughter.
Opening up to People, the medical pro said, "I am not one of those cute pregnant girls." And what happened to Cary during pregnancy wasn't all that cute, either: Before getting pregnant, she had to have a fibroid removed from her uterus. "Then I grew more fibroids after [delivering Zuri], so I actually had to have a hysterectomy,” Cary shared. “So I can’t have any more children.”
And it wasn't just those health issues that made pregnancy "not the most fun" for the Dallas pal. "I was sick the entire time and was just ready for her to get out,” Cary said. “And she was breech, so she was butt first, and I swear she just sat on my bladder the entire time."
And you know what? It's OK to not feel like a glowing goddess when you're carrying a child! Cary's fellow Dallas 'Wife Stephanie Hollman is just one more example of a woman who loves motherhood, but didn't so much love the nine months that came before it.
And for other pregnant women out there who don't feel so cute, Cary offered this ray of hope: "It’s gonna be okay,” she said. ”And [the body] does all go back It’s so weird that it does. You don’t think it’s gonna go back but then it does and you’re like, ‘Oh, that happened. It’s a miracle.’“
