Melissa Gorga Just Introduced Us to CBD Mattresses and We Have So Many Questions
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom is trying out a new way of getting a good night's sleep.
If you haven’t heard about the CBD craze by now, maybe you’ve been a little checked out? (Hey, good for you! We can all use a little unplugging from time to time.) But to fill you in, CBD is an oil extracted from the cannabis plant that is being put in everything from gummies to tea to seltzer to lotions. It's said to offer major health benefits, such as reducing pain and inflammation, leveling off anxiety and depression, and even helping people get a good night’s sleep.
And now it’s turning up in one product we would have never even considered: mattresses. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Melissa Gorga took to her Instagram recently to tout a new CBD-infused mattress, the ZBD Bed. It made us a little curious, so we took a deep dive to see what it’s about.
The ZBD Bed is made with HEMP-Based CBD and is micro-encapsulated using patented technology. The microcapsules, which are applied to the outer fabric, burst through during friction (such as lying on the bed) and release the CBD throughout the bed. Even with bed sheets over the base, you can still get the CBD effects, according to the company website, which sounds like a fail-safe way to get a good night’s sleep with very little effort.
Of course, you can also just opt for one of the million CBD-infused sleep aids on the market. But be sure to check in with your doctor first.
