Tween Troubles

Kathy sympathizes with Teresa's struggles with Gia.

By Kathy Wakile

After last week’s episode, it’s amazing how we can take a few steps back and try to understand what was said and where we went wrong. We find it in our hearts to give it another try. That’s family for you.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

I loved watching Richie and Joey at the gym. They were a great sounding board for each other. It was so cute to see these two flexing their muscles when we know they are just two softies! I thought Joey was wrong to tell Teresa to go f--- off. He let his frustration at not being able to get through to her get the best of him. However as you all saw, he felt bad too and wanted to make it right. I was so happy to see that he backed his regret up with a positive action and decided to send her a text in hopes of being able to move forward. He realized he was wrong and he accepted responsibility for his actions. He was remorseful and made a change.

By the way Joey, it’s OK that you have a hard time telling me you love me. I know you do and I love you too! xoxo

So everyone is getting ready for field day and Jacqueline and Lauren are headed out for some athletic wear. I couldn’t stop laughing when Jacqueline broke out with “more cushion for the pushin’.” I wish I had an aunt like Jacqueline. She can be so funny and silly, and she is a great support for Lauren while she’s struggling with her new diet. For anyone that’s ever been on a strict diet you know what it’s like. I’ve been on my fair share, and it really stinks. Being able to talk and joke about it is a saving grace. Speaking of the need for support or lack of… It’s so funny to me that our conversations always end up about breasts or should I say “bubbies.”

It seems that Gia has her own personal tug of war starting. What a tough age, those tween years have to be the absolute worst for both a young girl and her mommy. She has one foot on being a little girl and the other on being a young lady. So many emotions and so much going on in her little body. Good luck, Teresa. It’s a hell of a roller coaster ride, and you have to do it four times! I don’t envy you, but I have to say you have the right approach. I loved the way you were laughing it off, and it was so cute to see how shy Gia got talking about it in front of her dad.

Gia's First Bra
Let the games begin... Did you see the set up the Laurita’s put together for field day? If that doesn’t bring out your competitive spirit, nothing will. It was a very clever way to get us all together along with their family in a friendly competition. Everyone was getting along so well, however our adult banter may be hard for the younger kids to understand.
It's a Civil War

I always knew that Christopher liked me, but I was so touched to hear him say all those nice things about me. Do you think it has anything to do with me always bringing desserts?

Like Caroline but with Less Testosterone
Well that’s all for now, we’re off to the Bravo Clubhouse for What What Happens Live.

Before I go I want to thank everyone at PIX11 Morning Show, The Wendy Williams Show, Vh1 Big Morning Buzz, and HollywoodLife.com for having us as their guests this week. Everyone was so gracious and welcoming. Many thanks to all that tuned in!

Hope you all have a great week!
