The Real Housewives of New York City ladies are women of discerning tastes, and never was that more apparent than in tonight’s episode, when the ladies headed north to visit Luann de Lessepsbrand new “round house” in the Catskills.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

Purchased in the fall for $1 million, the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home is actually round in shape and is perched on the Hudson River, offering panoramic views of mountains and water. But for Luann, the real selling point was the privacy. "As I live in such a small town in the Hamptons and right next to the street, I felt like people passing by were looking in my windows," she explained. "And I did have photographers in the bushes, so I didn’t feel secure. Upstate, I don’t have that problem.”

The home’s plusses, however, did not impress Luann’s guests. Upon seeing first seeing the home, Sonja Morgan commented, “Oh this is so Luann. Wow. It’s a little Frank Lloyd Wright.”

Barbara Kavovit was a bit more complimentary, saying, “This is beautiful. It’s like a George Jetson bubble. You feel like you’re on a boat.”

The following day, when Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer arrived, the judgements weren’t quite so sugar-coated. After getting a full tour of the home, Dorinda commented,  "More power to her, but it just seems a bit isolated. And isolating. And not what I would have expected. But I'll put on the googly-eyed glasses and be like, ‘Yes, I see it, too."

And while Dorinda found the home to be “in the boondocks” as she called it, Bethenny was taken aback by Luann’s guest room. "There's a kitchen in the guest bedroom — you can take a s--t and cook a souffle at the same time,” she said. “I mean literally you could be on the toilet and making an omelette at the same time!”

Tinsley might have taken the cake with her summation of the house, though. “I think if anything would drive me to drink, it would be to live up here full-time.”

Well, there you have it, folks. Apparently round houses in the Catskills aren’t for everyone! Be sure to catch Ramona Singer’s reaction to the home during next week’s RHONY episode on Wednesday at 9/8c!
