As the saying goes, “You can take the girl out of the country… but you can’t take the country out of the girl.”  That certainly holds true for Luann DeLesseps. When we first met The Real Housewives of New York City countess, she was a tried-and-true city girl, living in an Upper East Side townhouse. But really, all that time, she was aching to be back in the country.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

“I enjoy my homes out of the city because I like being out of the city. I’m a country girl at heart,” Luann recently shared with Home & Design.

And while Luann cherishes the Hamptons home that she shares with her children, she was also looking to make a fresh start for herself upstate, which is why she purchased a home in the Hudson Valley region of the Catskills (Non-East Coasters: That’s an idyllic region in upstate New York) late last year. And it's not just any home! Located right on the shore of the Hudson River, the mid-century house is also round.

Initially I was drawn to the house — It was one of the first houses that I saw upstate, and I never forgot that house,” she revealed. “And then I found out round houses are very healthy for you to be in, in terms of feng shui. And look, animals live in trees, which are round, Indians lived in teepees, Eskimos lived in igloos, so it’s really, historically, a very good vibe and a good feng shui to live in something that’s round as opposed to having angles and corners and being boxed in.”

Who knew?! Well, actually, Dorinda Medley did, as she divulged during a sit-down with Luann this season. “The devil will never get there, you know why they did that? The Puritans used to make round houses so the devil could never catch you in a corner,” she explained over lunch with Luann and Bethenny Frankel. “Predators can’t get you, because you need a corner to get you.”

Bethenny’s reply? “When I look for real estate I don’t consider if the devil’s coming over.”

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Tracy Tutor also weighed in on the circular home when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week alongside Ramona Singer. "I'm on the Bethenny train on this one," she said. "I have no idea what a round house is. How do you even decorate a round house?!" But Ramona assured everyone that Luann has done a spectacular job designing the home. "Actually, she did a beautiful job," Ramona shared. "I was there, it's gorgeous."

Regardless of others' take on the home’s shape, it’s obvious that the property was a home run in terms of location, and it sounds like it was a smart buy in terms of good vibes, too. Take a tour of the home below and be sure to tune into RHONY on Wednesdays at 9/8c!

Nestled on nearly an acre, the home’s property occupies 200 feet of riverfront space, which includes a private dock, a boat ramp, and mooring for boating... making it a great spot for fishing!
