We Now Know Why Jenna Lyons Needed to Stay at This Luxe Anguilla Hotel: Go Inside
It’s hard to blame the Real Housewife for ditching her RHONY castmates to fly business class and tan at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla.
Jenna Lyons ruffled feathers by jetting off early to get a tan on a wintertime trip on The Real Housewives of New York City. Getting to fly business class and staying in a luxe resort may have just been a bonus.
Early in RHONY Season 14, Episode 8, Lyons told her brother Spencer she was anxious about going on the girls trip because she was self-conscious about her rare genetic disorder, incontinentia pigmenti, which causes significant abnormalities to the teeth, skin, and hair.
She recalled a trip the two took to Knott’s Berry Farm where she overheard another girl making rude comments about her skin.

“Every summer, for as long as I can remember I would hibernate away from everybody else and get a tan, because when I didn’t, in the sun, it really looks magnified. People were always saying, ‘What’s on your skin?’ or, ‘Do you have a burn?’” Jenna told producers. “Getting a tan kind of quiets the visual noise and makes me feel better.”
So ... where did Jenna Lyons get her tan in Anguilla?
As Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield met at the airport to fly down together — a key part of the girls’ trip experience, according to Brynn — Jenna was already lounging by the beach.
She stayed at the Four Seasons Resorts and Residences Anguilla, which is set on the island’s northwest shore. Eighty percent of the resort’s swanky accommodations have ocean views.
The resort is a mixture of guest rooms, suites, and townhomes, residences, and beachfront villas, which have multiple bedrooms, fully-equipped kitchens, and private pools.
The resort’s beach club, on the popular Meads Bay Beach, has snorkeling gear, kayaks, Hobie Cats, paddle boards, and more that are complimentary for guests to use. There are also three pools on site, including the adults-only Sunset Pool and the striking Aleta Pool, which is surrounded by cabanas and overlooks the Caribbean Sea.
The Four Seasons has a few different dining options, including Salt, a blufftop restaurant that looks on to both Barnes and Meads Bays and is open for breakfast and dinner. Bamboo Bar & Grill serves up lunch, beer, and cocktails on the beach at Meads Bay.
For those who want a break from tanning —certainly not Jenna — there’s also cooking, painting, and yoga classes, as well as tennis courts and a climbing wall.
Rejoining the women at Sea Villa
Jenna took advantage of the hotel services, and she certainly needed to store away some relaxation for the heated reception she got from the other women who were waiting at the (also gorgeous) Sea Villa.
“I’ve been in Anguilla for two days, I’m tan, I’m relaxed, I’ve had a massage, I’m wearing my favorite new dress, I’ve got this. I’m ready for a girls trip," Jenna told producers about walking in, not aware she was about to find a group who had been griping about her travel habits.
Sai told Jenna the group was “really annoyed” that Jenna flew on another plane.
Jenna attempted to explain that she’d meant to get a tan for some time but that her friend getting a puppy and dental work kept delaying her plans.
This “confused” Brynn, who called it a “cop out” when Jenna next explained she wouldn’t have needed a tan if she looked like the rest of the ladies.
“I was not expecting to walk into an interrogation about my decision to travel early,” Jenna later told producers. “I think it’s for their benefit. I’m now in a better mood, and I look cuter!”
Brynn eventually agreed.
"She looks like someone who just flew first class and stayed at the Four Seasons and got a tan for two days," Brynn told producers. "It’s hard for me to be angry at someone when they look that good."
