What the OG New York Housewives Have to Say About RHONY Season 14 (UPDATED)
The original New York Housewives are passing the torch to an all-new RHONY cast for Season 14, which one called "a beautiful thing."
For 13 seasons, viewers have followed some of the same women in NYC — but with The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14, a whole new cast is introduced. It's a major change, but luckily, many former RHONY cast members have had great advice for the newbies.
Who Are the New 'Wives on The Real Housewives of New York City?
At BravoCon in October 2022, Bravo announced a new cast for RHONY Season 14, including Sai de Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitefield.
What Former Real Housewives Have to Say About New Cast Members
When asked about the new lineup in December 2022 , Luann de Lesseps told E! News, “I’m gonna have to check out what the girls are up to in their new version of New York City.”

“I think it’s gonna be interesting to watch,” Luann continued. “I think it’s [a] really hard first season, you know, on any show. When we first did the Housewives, we had no idea it would take off the way it did, so I wish them luck.”
Meanwhile, Ramona Singer gave her thoughts on the On Display podcast with The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga.
“It’s a different era,” said Ramona. “Bravo knows what they’re doing.”
RHONY alum Dorinda Medley — who “made it nice” for Seasons 7 through 12 — told OK! Magazine in October 2022 that she was “really excited” for the new women.
“I think it’s such a beautiful thing to watch these girls from all different areas of New York; they are a very diverse group,” said Dorinda. “That’s what was so beautiful when they walked on stage.”
Dorinda added it’d be “interesting to see how they navigate” through Season 14, especially as mothers and women in business.
“You have to remember, we are in our 50s, so the world that we navigated was a very different world,” said Dorinda. “Women today have financial power, they have children, they have devices!”
Another RHONY alum Jill Zarin —who was a ‘Wife for the first four seasons and later joined Dorinda in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2 — was one of the first to congratulate the new ladies.
“I would love the opportunity to kind of pass the baton virtually to them and say, ‘Wishing you the best, and just keep it real,’” Zarin told PEOPLE. “Just keep it real, would be my advice.”
On the July 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen — which followed the RHONY Season 14 premiere — Erin, Ubah, and Brynn maintained Jill was the one who lended the most support.
“Jill Zarin? Love her,” said Brynn, explaining she met Jill at BravoCon in 2022. “She was like a mama bird.”
Ubah and Erin added they both had lunch with Jill, with Erin even driving Jill’s daughter to an event.
“So sweet, [Jill] literally gave me her cell phone number and was like, ‘Anything you need, any time,’” Brynn continued. “It felt like the mom I never had.”
Luann and Sonja Morgan also recently shared their advice for the Season 14 cast in an interview with The Daily Dish.
“For the new New York cast, if I were to give them any advice, it’s just to be good at being yourself,” said Luann. “Be true to yourself because the camera doesn’t lie.”

Sonja, meanwhile, urged them to develop "a baseline of trust" within the group and "build a team spirit."
Luann added, “I wish them a lot of luck because we’re hard people to follow.”
