The Real Housewives of New York City newcomer explains how she ended up getting the legendary tattoo at 17 years old.
It wasn't just Leah McSweeney's unapologetic style and realness that left a huge impression on the rest of the 'Wives this season. Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan also couldn't get over Leah's tattoos. In fact, one of the most unforgettable moments of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 12 had to be when Dorinda discovered a pair of wings inked above Leah's lady parts.
When Dorinda asked Leah, "Why is there wings on your vagina?" the fashion designer simply replied, "Because it flies!" However, the real reason the Married to the Mob founder ended up getting wings inked on her pelvis is even wilder than we imagined.
During Part 1 of the Season 12 sit-down, Leah shared the "crazy story" behind her epic tattoo. "I'm not sure you can air this," she warned. "When I was maybe 17 years old, I had taken hallucinogenics and I went to another dimension of the universe and I had purple wings. And when I came to, I said, 'I need to get this tattoo on me,' and I'm like, 'Where should I get it? The back — that's so obvious. I'm getting it on my p--sy,'" she explained.
Still astonished by the tattoo, Dorinda asked, "Like what happens when a man sees it?"
Again, Leah had the best response, "Oh, men love it."
