Bethenny Frankel Shares Her Strategy for How to Not Overindulge on Thanksgiving
The Real Housewives of New York City pal implores us all this holiday: "Don't get bombed."
'Tis the season for eating turkey. And stuffing. And maybe some marshmallow-topped sweet potatoes... and, OK, toss in some green bean casserole, too, along with one more slice of pie. Got the message? It's easy to overindulge this time of year. But fret not: Bethenny Frankel is here with tips for how to avoid eating so much gravy it makes you queasy.
On November 20, The Real Housewives of New York City pal shared some wise Thanksgiving-theme tips on Twitter. First thing's first: In Bethenny's world, a holiday feast should be preceded by a healthy breakfast, and maybe even some light lunch. Here's what she had to say:
"Don’t starve yourself planning to binge on the main meal. It wreaks havoc on your body," the Skinnygirl mogul shared. She then slammed the common myth about turkey making people sleepy. "We pass out not from tryptophan (we don’t consume enough to have an effect) but from all of the combinations of food that your body (the machine has to digest)," she claimed.
In a later post, the RHONY pal wrote: "DO spoil your appetite. Cancel your membership to the clean plate club. Have a little of everything you love. Just don’t binge & don’t get bombed or you will eat like a beast & do or say something stupid." Sounds wise to us!
