The Best Medicine

Sarah gives her thoughts on comedy and Gretchen and Tamra's friendship.

By Sarah Winchester

Laughter. . .is always the best medicine!

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

It has been said that laughter in life is one of nature's best medicines. I love, love, love to laugh. I am a very strong believer in that statement. In a world unfortunately suffering from so much stress, worry, and heartache, sometimes it's healthy to get out, let loose, and laugh a bit with good friends.

When I got the invite from Gretchen and Slade to watch them perform at the Improv Comedy Club, I was absloutely ecstatic (to say the least). How exciting this was!!! To be honest, it was such a pleasure for me to be able to support two of my best friends by watching them perform their hilarious, new, stand-up comedy routine at the very well-known Improv Comedy Club. This was a big deal, and I was sooo excited for them. I really needed to get out and have some good laughs with some old friends, and it also finally gave me the opportunity to introduce my fiancée to a few more of my long time good friends, Alexis and Jim. It was really nice to see everyone getting along, laughing, and having a good time.

We sat in the front with Alexis and Jim, so we were all Gretchen and Slade's little "front row fan club," cheering them on during their entire performance. It was such a fun and exciting night for everyone. They did great, of course. I couldn't be happier for them!

I could only imagine just how nervous Gretchen and Slade both must have been before getting on stage. You would have thought they had performed a million times because they both really did such an amazing job. They are naturals that's for sure!

I thought their performance was hilarious. I laughed so hard I seriously was in tears at one point. I genuinely enjoyed being given the opportunity to be able to watch two of my very best friends, that work as hard as they do, successfully achieve one of their life long dreams and have so much fun with us at the same time. We all really had such a great time and enjoyed the entire show! It really reminded me why we all loved hanging out together all these years and had became such good friends in the first place. They are both naturally hilarious and are always so much fun to be around, on or off stage. What you see is what you get with these two! Lots and lots of laughs and good memories. They are such goofballs. . .I love it! Hanging out with them is pretty much an absolute guarantee that you will be laughing hysterically the whole time, that's for sure. Seriously. These two really do make the perfect pair for a stand-up comedy routine. I'm so glad that I was able to be there to support and cheer them. I think it's great that they are doing what they love most by simply making people laugh.

As far as my thoughts on the rest of this week's episode. . .

In all fairness based on what I've seen, I really don't understand why Vicki wasn't being very supportive of Gretchen and Tamara finally putting aside their differences and ending all of the unnecessary drama between them for once and for all. Maybe it will just take some time for everybody to get used to the idea. In my opinion, I think it will defiantly be a lot more peaceful for everyone involved. It could be a healthy, positive step forward for both of them that will hopefully encourage more fun "drama-free" times ahead for all of us. . .

Well, one can only hope right? LOL. . .
