Newly Single Gina Kirschenheiter's First-Ever Solo House Is Gorgeous: See Inside
The Real Housewives of Orange County mama has finished the beautiful new space she shares with her kids, and is giving us a full tour.
It’s official: Gina Kirscheneiter is moving on from the messy split from ex her Matt. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom recently sold the family’s home in Coto de Caza for $875,000 and has moved into a new house with her three children, as we saw on tonight's RHOC premiere. Open and airy, the house is the perfect spot for a family to rebuild.
“When we moved to the house, the first thing I did was the kid’s rooms,” Gina told Home & Design during a recent visit. “I just wanted them to feel like—with everything going on—that you know, they were really special and that this was a good positive change for us.”
And all Gina’s efforts paid off! Her boys share a dinosaur-themed room, complete with matching navy blue bed frames and adorable dino-pattered sheet (and yes, we see those matching dinosaur lamps, too!). In her daughter’s room, the aesthetic is the opposite of the color spectrum, and rightly so. “This is Sienna’s room, it’s a unicorn room, we love it,” Gina said. “You know I only have one girl, so for me it’s really nice to give her special things.”
The heart of the family’s home is decidedly the open-layout kitchen and living room, where Gina eschewed a dining room table opting to instead have her kids share meals at the oversized island. “I chose to actually not get a dining room table at all, I really like that my kids are right here,” she said, point to the countertop and barstools. “And I’m usually right here [in the kitchen]. You know as a mom you barely ever sit down so it’s really pointless to have a table or a chair for yourself.”
