Emily Simpson's New Fitness Routine Is All About "Consistency and Will Power"
The RHOC body-positive advocate has a new workout mantra: "Move move move is my goal!"
The Real Housewives of Orange County's Emily Simpson knows that when it comes to working out (and life in general), showing up is half the battle. The advocate for body positivity has been struggling with arthritis, a condition that causes her a lot of pain. She just shared that she "gained about 15-20 pounds over the past 9 months," telling her followers: "I quit working out with my trainer regularly and I basically stopped moving period."
But now Emily just shared that she's been able to get back in the gym, filming a bit of her workout session. "I had so much pain in my left hip and leg last night I could barely sleep," she wrote on Instagram. "I woke up this morning and the first thing I wanted to do was cancel with my trainer. But I didn’t. I showed up. I showed up on time and I did everything he asked. I cried a little. And took lots of breaks. But I did it."
Emily is super positive about her efforts — and her new workout mantra is as inspiring as ever. She wrote in the post: "Watching this video, I can see where I’ve put on weight, but I can also see that I still have good muscle tone in my arms and back and that with consistency and will power I can get back to where I used to be! Move move move is my goal!"
