Makeup-Free Heather Dubrow Is Feeling More Confident and Beautiful Than Ever

Heather Dubrow is stripping off all her makeup, and sharing her thoughts on what beauty really means. Hint: It has nothing to do with lipstick — but a few false lashes never hurt.

For a video on Entertainment Weekly, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum peeled off her lashes and cleansed her face as she spilled some of her beauty secrets. First, she revealed the best beauty tip she picked up as a Real Housewife: 

"One thing I did learn is I learned how to put on false eyelashes, because you have to have eyelashes on," she said of her time filming with Bravo crews. "You just, you need them at all times. I don't care if you're surfing, if you're jumping out of an airplane, if you're white-water rafting, if you're zip-lining, you must have eyelashes on!" 

The Bravo alum also reflected on turning 50 this year. "Age is just a number ... I think if you're in a good place in your life, you're fine," she said. "Now, having said that, I'll go to an event and I'll wear sort of a sexier outfit, and I'll get comments you're too old to wear that or cut your hair, that kind of thing." (Side note: We've seen firsthand evidence of this!) 

She continued: "And yeah, do I look into the 100 zoom mirror and go [to my plastic surgeon husband] Terry ... I hate my neck I don't like these tree trunk lines, I do that," she said. But, Heather was quick to add: "I haven't done [a neck-lift] yet, never say never."

And even though she's married to a surgeon, Heather doesn't have any grand plans to go under the knife just yet. "I'm really trying to go into this whole thing with the nonsurgical approach to anti-aging. So far, so good!" she said. "A little Botox, I'm not gonna lie. But not too much — I want my kids to know I'm mad at them." 

And in the end, Heather doesn't lean on fillers, or even on foundation, to feel beautiful. "I feel more confident in a bikini than I've ever felt; I feel confident walking around without makeup, I just feel confident. I think that's a little bit what age does for you," she shared. "By the way, [that's] one reason I never put filters on my pictures, because I don't want people to meet me in person and go, oh, that's what's going on there!"
