Gretchen Rossi Admitted She "Secretly Always Wanted a Girl” and Her Reason Why Is Royally Cute
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is due in the summer.
Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley were thrilled to announce that they're having a baby after a tough IVF journey. Now, they've followed up with some more big news: The Real Housewives of Orange County alums revealed over the weekend that they're having a girl, which was Gretchen's biggest dream on the low.
“I have for many years been wanting a baby, as many people know, and I secretly always wanted a girl,” she told ET. “I really wanted a girl so badly … But then, the best part, is, like, I always wanted to see Slade with a little girl, so it’s extra special because he just treats me like such a queen, and she’s gonna be his little princess and I’m just so excited about it.”
“This is my first [girl], and it’s such a magical moment,” Slade added. “It’s really something we were hoping for. I can’t believe it. I literally cannot believe it.”
The couple had a fun gender reveal cake at a beautiful outdoor party with family and friends over the weekend. Gretchen and Slade explained in the interview that they also have a name for their baby girl, but they're not ready to share it with the rest of us.
