On Valentine’s Day, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her girlfriend, Jennifer Spinner, tied the (unofficial) knot at a little white chapel in Las Vegas. Though there are still some details to sort out for The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and her partner to be considered legally married, the couple went ahead and took another permanent step in their relationship: getting matching tattoos.

“We love to road-trip, we love to wander, we love to travel, so she was like, ‘Why don’t we get the mountains and sort of our journey together?’” Braunwyn told Page Six Style in a February 23 interview regarding the inspiration for the designs. “And there you have it.”

Jennifer went on to explain how the body art was directly inspired by the scenic drive the pair enjoyed while traveling from Palm Springs, California, to Sin City for their nuptials.

“We went to a town that had one motel from the ’30s and … the thing that we loved about that experience outside of being alone was the mountains. We had never seen mountains like that,” Jennifer shared, speaking of the landscape-inspired design she got on top of her left wrist (Braunwyn got her mountains on the inside of her left wrist).

Braunwyn — who came out as a lesbian in 2020 and is currently in the process of divorcing her estranged husband, Sean Burke — said the new ink was the “perfect” way to celebrate their commitment to each other.

“I think we’re both at a point in our life where we’re like, ‘Do you want to do this?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah,’” Braunwyn shared. “Because I’m 45, she’s 38. It took us a long time to find each other, so let’s do all the things.”

Jennifer added, “And not worry about how ridiculous … it is.”

Though the pair have to wait to make things official official, per Braunwyn’s divorce finalization process, the mom of seven noted her romantic plans to get down on one knee with a real engagement ring for the special occasion.

“There will be a time where I do the getting down on one knee … It’s not even a possibility,” Braunwyn shared. “We are going to actually get married. We talk about it all the time.”

In addition to their sweet tattoos, Jennifer also took to her Instagram following the Vegas wedding to share a heartfelt note to her love. “At the height of Covid, in the midst of my lowest moment, I made a manifestation list of everything I wanted in my romantic life. (At the insistence of my ex-wife, so lesbian.) I made the list thinking ‘ok, maybe if I’m really lucky, I find someone that meets 1/2 of these.’ Then I met B, my gorgeous, sweet, smart, hilarious [love].”

Jennifer continued: “If soulmates are a thing, she’s definitely mine. Thank you for the best [seven] months and for making me into a Valentine’s Day believer. Here’s to making reckless and ‘cringe’ decisions together for the rest of our lives.”
