Braunwyn's Son Jacob Shares Glamorous Drag Transformation: "Ah! I Love It So Much"
The Real Housewives of Orange County teen opens up about "the most empowering that I've ever felt in my life."
It looks like Orange County just got even more fabulous. Braunwyn Windham-Burke introduced the world to her 15-year-old son Jacob’s drag persona in a preview of the November 11 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. During the preview, Jacob opened up about how he became interested in drag, and the impact it has had on him.
“I kinda like dressed up like a girl and acted like one for my whole life,” Jacob said in the clip, above. “My sisters used to put me in dresses, do my makeup, and all of that. And I really liked doing all of that. So I thought, what if I do this on a bigger and grander scale. Because, it’s just a lot of fun.”
After trying on a variety of gorgeous dresses and wigs in all kinds of styles, Jacob revealed his new drag name: Divine Devon. Jacob wasn’t the only member of the Windham-Burke crew to try on a new look. Even dad Sean Burke threw on a pair of heels, a wig, and some makeup.
“We all know that not every dad would be so supportive,” said Braunwyn in an interview during the clip. “Not only is Sean showing up and wearing heels, he’s like, ‘Look, I got your back kid.’”
Jacob also appeared in his first RHOC interview, sharing his excitement for his new journey.
“Being a woman in drag feels like the most empowering that I’ve ever felt in my life. I didn’t know how good this would feel until I did it. I just… ah! I love it so much.”
Ahead of the episode, Braunwyn shared some photos of Jacob in a number of looks, in which she and Sean are all glammed up, too.
“So proud of this beautiful child,” she wrote in the caption. “We are so proud to be. Your parents and honor your strength.”
