Tamra Judge's Newest CBD Product Is All About Women's Health
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is releasing a new product in her Vena CBD line for International Women's Day.
Tamra Judge wants to use her company, Vena Wellness, to improve the lives of women, and she's starting with a new product to be released on March 8, which is International Women's Day.
“It’s basically for women’s health,” The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, who started the business with her husband, Eddie, told Page Six of the product. “It’s for menstrual cramps, periods, things like that nature and it’s got CBD. It’s got cramp bark. It’s got chasteberry, cinnamon, valerian root in it. It helps with monthly issues that I don’t get anymore because I’m old as f–k!” According to a post on Vena's Instagram page, the product also counts ginger as an ingredient.
Though she hasn't yet revealed the name of the product, Tamra teased it in a March 2 Instagram post, asking her followers to guess what it may be. When one commenter offered, "Hormonal or mood support?" Tamra replied with an emoji of raised hands, seemingly confirming the assumption.
For Tamra, having a hand in almost all aspects of the business is a priority. “We have an office here in Laguna Hills. We ship out of this office. We do our meetings. We figure out our new product. I do a lot of the marketing here and we have customer service — I don’t do customer service,” she explained to Page Six. “So I’m fully involved and I’m always looking at new products that we can bring to the table."
After toying with the idea for years, the entrepreneurial couple finally decided to start their business after a series of medical troubles arose within their family. "Bronx got cancer," Tamra explained of their dog on Heather Dubrow's World last year. "Everybody was like, 'Give him CBD, give him CBD.' So we started giving him CBD. He's fine now. And then Eddie got sick with his heart condition. And so there was a lot of reasons why we got into it."
Eddie, who confirmed his atrial fibrillation diagnosis in 2018, added at the time: "I've always been anti-pharmaceutical for obvious reasons. And then I found myself in a real peculiar situation where I had to take them to make me feel better, to help me with my heart rhythm, with my A-fib."
"So it was important to us to find a solution that was naturopath, that was not synthetic, that I could use since I have to take an anti-rhythm drug and a blood thinner to help me through this a-fib chapter in my life," he continued. "So when we discovered the benefits of CBD, it just opened up a whole wide range of possibilities — not just in the potential alleviation of this medical issue that I was experiencing. But just in general, it helps with so many different aspects of life. It just made sense for us to choose CBD as a product that we could bring to market and help everybody benefit from it."
Tamra herself benefits from the brand's products on a daily basis. "The last thing I have before I go to bed is my CBD," she told BravoTV.com last year while revealing what she eats in a day. "I take my Vena CBD right before I go to bed and I'm out like a light."
