The Real Housewives of Orange County husband and partner with his wife in the new CBD product line, VENA Wellness, took to Instagram with a very logical explanation about how unwinding with cannabis products can assist with diet goals.
"What’s your go to at the end of a hard work day? (stay home Mom’s qualify) or when it’s Friday or Saturday night and you want to celebrate your hard work," he asked his 110,000 followers. "Well, I hate to be the messenger but did you know 1 glass (5 fl oz) is at least 125 calories of sugar? And, who has A) 5 fl oz? B) just one glass? I believe there’s at least 600 calories in one bottle of wine. So if you drink 2 glasses (or half the bottle) that’s at least 300 calories of sugar."
And of course — as anyone who's ever gotten even a little tipsy knows — the calorie consumption related to drinking doesn't end there.
"What happened next? Well if you are like most humans you get hungry and eat with your wine," Eddie continued. "This is where it can go from bad to real bad because if you eat at least 500 calories (this is conservative) you now have had at least 800 calories. 300 that will convert to fat and whatever you had in your 500 calorie meal. Now let’s get real... 500 calories is very conservative so chances are it’s not 500 but more like 1000!"
The take-home message, according to Eddie: You might be using the wrong tool for your
"The point: I recommend looking for another way to reward your body for helping you perform your best. How? Nutrient dense food and CBD," he wrote. "CBD has many benefits. Best part is that it helps the body return to homeostasis and this is where the body works at its optimal. Yes, the body can heal itself. All you have to do is provide the nutrition it needs and sometimes the supplements to get it back to normal. Note, wine is not bad. It’s the amount of wine consumed that can hurt you. It’s like eating too much candy can hurt you too."
All very logical — but not exactly welcome news for everyone. Jokingly trolling him in the comments of his Instagram post, Tamra wrote: Why you gotta rain on my parade?"
But in truth, we already knew that Tamra avoids overindulging in alcohol for those very same reasons.
