Now that both of her kids are off to college, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan is feeling the empty nest syndrome deeply. While she's no longer living in her massive, six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Potomac estate (which she sold earlier this year for $2 million!), Charisse is still feeling a bit heartbroken that she's home alone these days. In a sentimental post to her Instagram account, The Real Housewives of Potomac friend reflected on her journey through motherhood.

"I realize that I’m going through a transition and it’s a difficult one," The Real Housewives of Potomac alum wrote in an emotional Instagram post. "My kids are away at college and I’ve become so dependent on having them with me. This 'empty nest' thing hasn’t been that great. A part of me feels so empty. I love being a mother. I miss my kids tremendously. @skylarvictoriaa @jacksonvljordan I miss you... I even miss the mess and Jackson telling me at least three times a day “I’m hungry”. To all the parents celebrating the beginning of a new school year be sure to take advantage of every moment of time with your children. You can’t get it back. Time flies by too fast. #emptynesters#emptynest sucks for me! #loveonyourkids #justcharrisse."

Charisse's daughter Skylar is returning to Spellman College this fall, while her son Jordan goes to Long Island University, where he's a point guard on the basketball team (and a sometimes model!). Here's hoping the kids will be coming home for long weekends to visit their mama ASAP!
