Charrisse: Ashley Is a Messy Little Girl
Charrisse Jackson Jordan reflects on Ashley's "childlike behavior" during Skylar's party.
Bravotv.com: What was it like seeing Eddie at the party?
Charrisse Jackson Jordan: I wasn't surprised seeing Eddie at Skylar's party because he makes himself available for his children. The awkward part was seeing him as a separated spouse. This was the first time we shared a space publicly since coming to terms that we were no longer a couple. As happy as I was to see him, my new normal felt really strange and for the first time I am unsure of how to respond. My step-sons were also present and for the first time the division of our family became a reality and I honestly have to say that it doesn't feel good at all.
Bravotv.com: What were you thinking when Ashley asked you to introduce her to Eddie – and brought it up at hookah?
CJJ: Ashley is being her usual messy self. If I were in a happy place with Eddie, I could understand her wanting me to introduce her to him. But most of all, I know Eddie has no interest whatsoever in meeting the little girl and an introduction is pointless. Quite frankly, I wasn't really in the mood for Ashley's childlike behavior. This day is Skylar's and I wasn't going to let anyone ruin it for her...not even little messy boots Ashley.
I would say I was caught off guard when Ashley brought Eddie up at hookah. She's a messy little girl and that's what teenagers do. I can tell this young one has no problem stepping into unwelcome territory. I have to keep reminding myself that she lacks maturity and take a few deep breaths because she is starting to piss me off.
Bravotv.com: What do you think about the ladies reactions to saying you’ve been celibate for 2 years? Why did you decide to share with the group?
CJJ: This group loves talking about sex, whether it's the pull out method, penis size, or just emphasis on sexual activity in general. I am not surprised with their reaction. I shared it because my celibacy is something that I am proud of and hope they realize that I am really not interested in what's going on (or not) in their bedrooms.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Gizelle and Monique’s confrontation?
CJJ: The green-eyed monster is really showing signs of envy when it comes to Monique. Per usual, she's twisting words to justify her juvenile behavior. But she will never win when challenging Monique. So hopefully she will get over this petty stance of trying to paint Monique in a false image. Perhaps Gizelle would've been happy if Monique's response was that she hadn't owned a home. That was what she was hoping for but instead got "I own four homes." Yes!! I love it! Why is she asking in the first place? Gizelle doesn't own a home, so what was her point?
Bravotv.com: Tell us about that conversation with your therapist. What is it like watching now?
CJJ: Speaking with Dr. Jeff, I was feeling as though I had taken a few steps backwards because I found myself hurt and upset again after facing the division of my family. I had been doing so well and finally was getting my happy back to only slip into sadness. Watching the session makes me feel a great deal of sadness. My family was my everything. However, I do realize how far I have come in terms of dealing with everything. I know I will have moments of sadness, but I pray the worst of it is behind me.
