Dr. Simone Has a Message for the #RHOP 'Wives About The Pull Out Method
She's talking to you, Monique Samuels and Ashley Darby...
One of the most shocking moments from The Real Housewives of Potomac was during the season 1 finale when Karen Huger said this to Ashley Darby about her marriage:
Yes, Karen told Ashley to "let her man ejaculate." This is, of course, in reference to Ashley Darby employing the pull out method with her husband, Michael, as a form of birth control - a topic she is not shy about sharing. In fact, in the second season of #RHOP, she bonds with new Housewife Monique Samuels about that very thing. When Ashley found out that the rookie 'Wife is also using the pull out method in the first video above, she exclaimed, "Girl, that thing works 100 percent, I don't care what nobody says!" Monique's response? "It's all about timing."
This got us thinking, how well DOES the pull out method work? Luckily for Bravo fans, we have our own Married to Medicine OBGYN on call to answer such questions: Simone Whitmore. So what does Dr. Simone say about Ashley and Monique's "old school" ways?
"Sure wish I practiced in Potomac!!! Babies are coming," prophesized Dr. Simone about the future for our #RHOP 'Wives. She continued with a medical explanation behind her prognosis, "With the pull out method as the only form of birth control, one might expect an unexpected pregnancy. While intercourse is in progress, the man is leaking sperm prior to ejaculation. Sperm is viable for 72 hours."
So considering the facts, what is the doctor's message to the Potomac pair? "Good luck to Ashley and Monique," she said. Sounds like Dr. Simone is pulling for you two...
