Bravotv.com: What do you think about Karen’s answer that the divorce talk from Ray was from years ago?

Charrisse Jackson Jordan: I am aware of Ray asking for a divorce in the past, but clearly it resurfaced for a different reason. I don’t know if it was because he wanted to protect her from the tax issue, Blue Eyes, or something else. Going through troubled times in a relationship or even the thought of divorce is something that most people would want to deal with in their own time. She and Ray have been together for decades so I understand Karen not wanting to share the truth whatever the truth is. It’s too bad that she doesn’t trust our circle enough to share whatever it is that she may be going through. I sense a sadness with Karen and hope everything works out in her favor. Did I just say that? Geez! I’m getting soft!!

Bravotv.com: Tell us about going to that dinner — as Monique Samuels’s friend did you know how upset she was with ?

CJJ: I knew firsthand going into the dinner that Monique was still fuming about Ashley Darby’s allegations. I was praying that Ashley wasn’t going to agitate the situation because I knew Monique was at the edge of flipping out. Monique had expressed to me that she didn’t want to address the issue that night and wanted to talk to her without the mean girl cheerleading squad. Inside I knew we would not get out of this dinner without someone trying to ignite the flame. Per usual…Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon enticed the conversation, Ashley was Ashley, and it was on and popping!

Bravotv.com: What do you think about Monique’s clash with Ashley at the table – and getting kicked out of the event?

CJJ: Instead of 10, 9, 8,7… It went from 0 to 1,000 in a nanosecond! I saw the anger all over Monique’s face as soon as Ashley started talking to her. I really didn’t expect things to escalate the way that they did. Monique expressed not wanting to discuss the situation because she knew that she wasn’t in the right state of mind to have a rational conversation. I don’t agree with her verbal attack directed at the ladies because it only added fuel to the volcano. I felt like I was having an outer body experience. This was the first time in my life that I have ever been kicked out of anywhere. Karen’s desire to get security involved was a bit extreme. It was a private gathering and there really wasn’t a need to have us removed. First, she called security to remove Robyn and Gizelle from her No Gala. Now she is removing all of us from her Scentless event. Her fetish with security putting folks out is getting a bit overrated at this juncture. 

Bravotv.com: Walk us through what happened outside.

CJJ: Honestly, it was all a blur. Monique was enraged and along come Ashley. I’m thinking damn! Damn! DAMN!! It’s about to go down and I just want to go home. I think I may have blacked out because I don’t remember Monique whipping out her umbrella but I was standing right there. I remember looking up and they were at it. I don’t recall moving toward them or being that close. All I can remember was Ashley approaching us barking and then me and Monique driving home. I honestly checked out. Maybe I thought that I was having a flashback to high school and it didn’t register that I was in current time. Whatever the case, it was a crazy night and I hope it never gets worse than that.
