Gizelle Bryant on Why She Went After Karen Huger Following *That* Walk Off
Plus, the first lady of Potomac dishes on her relationship with Monique Samuels: "If Monique owns what she has done and sincerely apologizes then maybe we can get to another place. Not a second before."
Bravotv.com: What do you think about Monique saying she wouldn’t destroy any of your characters and also saying that Robyn is your puppy?
Gizelle Bryant: Monique Samuels has spent her entire RHOP career being a social media bully. I don't and can't understand how she thinks that friendships can be formed when social media is used to tear down and attempt to destroy the characters of her fellow Housewives. I can't respect that kind of behavior. Robyn Dixon and I are FRIENDS, ride or die. Anyone who keeps questioning it clearly doesn't have friends or knows the concept of friendship. As soon as Monique is able to maintain a friendship for more than five minutes then I guess she will understand.
Bravotv.com: Could you be friends with her after the Reunion, because she seemed hopeful.
GB: If Monique owns what she has done and sincerely apologizes then maybe we can get to another place. Not a second before.
Bravotv.com: Tell us about not being able to be a good friend to Karen Huger – why do you say that?
GB: Karen spent the majority of season 3 hiding from me. There were countless times that I wanted to meet with her and she refused. So I didn't appreciate her acting like I wasn't there for her just because the sky is blue. I wasn't there for Karen because she hid in a corner and when she came out she refused to give me or anyone a strait answer.
Bravotv.com: What was going through your mind when you were having this clash on the couch with Karen – tell us about this moment.
GB: I knew Karen in that moment was extremely sensitive because of the loss of her father so I was trying to be respectful. However, I needed to remind her that friendship is a two way street, the road was closed and I didn't close it.
Bravotv.com: Why did you go after Karen after everything? Tell us about this moment in the room with her.
GB: I hate to see anyone suffer. I knew Karen was fragile and I didn't want her to be alone. I just wanted to tell her, girl you can handle ALL this. Dry your tears, state your case and let's all go home and have a drink.
