The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member joked that her 2023 holiday decor is so bright, she's having "electric bill problems."
Candiace Dillard Bassett's 2023 holiday season is so bright, she's going to need shades — or at least, plenty of cash to settle her electric bill. In a December 13 Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Potomac singer shared a video that showed her skipping around in her palatial home, which she'd fully decked out for the holidays.
While Candiace was thrilled to be celebrating the season of lights and cheer, and it seems that her husband Chris Bassett may have a bone to pick with her merriness. Keep reading to take a peek at Candiace's glowing decor, and to find out why Chris was "gonna yell" at her for it.
Candiace Dillard Bassett's 2023 Christmas Decor
In the video, Candiace was merrily sipping a coffee as she pranced around her sun-filled living room. Let it be noted that — even when it's not Christmastime — the former beauty queen has never been one for minimalist decor. In fact, while she was still searching for her dream home during RHOP Season 5, Candiace said in an interview:
"I need six bedrooms. I want between seven and nine thousand square feet. I'm looking for a Mediterranean theme, so I need the balusters that have the swirls in them going up the steps. I need certain kinds of crown molding. I do want coffered ceilings in the foyer. I need a two-story foyer. I need grand chandeliers."
Therefore, when it comes to Christmas trees, bigger equals better for Candiace — and her tree this year does not disappoint. The towering fir has fluffy flocked branches, glistening ornaments, and hundreds of lights. Piles of presents are gathered at the foot of the tree, but Candiace is most interested in the gift of light.
To caption her Instagram video, the "Insecure" chanteuse wrote: "How I'm skipping around turning on the [trees] before dark knowing Chris is gonna yell at me for the electric bill." She added several hashtags to her post, including one that said "electric bill problems," and another one that proudly proclaimed: "my season."
Other decor in Candiace's very merry home included velvety stockings hung by the mantel, candlelit lanterns, and a lush garland hanging over the fireplace. Wearing a red-and-white outfit, bright lipstick, and a radiant smile, Candiace oozed cheerful vibes that matched her decor.
