Candiace Dillard Bassett Clarifies Exactly Who Paid For Her New House
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member is revealing the financial details of her new home purchase.
Candiace Dillard Bassett announced last month that she and Chris Bassett were moving into a new abode, writing in an Instagram caption that the couple had “much to be thankful for.” Now, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member is opening up about the financial details of the major purchase.
"We purchased a new home," Candaice said on Part 1 of the RHOP Season 5 reunion. "It was purchased by myself and my husband." While viewers may remember that Candiace's mother, Dorothy, was paying part of the couple's townhouse mortgage for a period of time, Candiace made it clear that Dorothy has no involvement in the finances of this home as she added, "My mother was generous enough to donate a rubber plant."
Candaice received support from many of her castmates, including Gizelle Bryant, who responded, "Either way it's impressive."
Although we have yet to see Candiace's new digs, she shared her lengthy wish list for her dream home during the Season 4 RHOP After Show last year. "I want to live on the water," she said at the time. "I need six bedrooms. I want between seven and nine thousand square feet. I'm looking for a Mediterranean theme, so I need the balusters that have the swirls in them going up the steps. I need certain kinds of crown molding. I do want coffered ceilings in the foyer. I need a two-story foyer. I need grand chandeliers."
