When The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast takes a girls’ trip, you know some drama will go down. 

That’s what we already began to face in Season 4 Episode 2, as the ladies hopped into a Sprinter van and headed to Palm Springs, California, to visit the utterly fabulous Trixie Motel — a retro-inspired “pink paradise” curated by drag performer Trixie Mattel. While Whitney Rose brought Angie Katsanevas along with her to the motel early as a (potentially drama-inducing) surprise, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Monica Garcia, and Mary Cosby drove together from the airport, excited to experience the eye-popping vacation getaway. 

“This is amazing!” Angie exclaimed as she and Whitney walked into the motel, which featured a bubblegum pink exterior as well as a pink-and-white-striped motif by the outdoor pool, which perfectly matched the fringed umbrellas and chic white lounge chairs.

“It’s like a dollhouse,” Angie added, as Whitney exclaimed, “I knew it was pink, but I didn’t realize everything was pink!” Additional details included heart-shaped pink and geometric-patterned pool floats, pink-and-white-striped pool tools, and kitschy details like plastic pink flamingos and pink floral-patterned pillows. 

The outdoor space was contrasted with pops of green, including Trixie’s colorful “Cactus Garden” and other lush greenery that dotted the exterior. 

“I’ve known Trixie for quite some time,” Whitney explained as she and Angie met with the drag star to tour the space. “We’ve hung out together, we’ve collab-ed together, she was my friend first, so of course I’m gonna come early to my friend’s motel and… I think it’s a funny, cheeky way of marking my territory.” 

According to the motel’s website, the lodging — which echoes a mid-century roadside motel with its various furnishings and candy-colored aesthetic — offers “seven custom themed rooms,” which includes three suites, three queen rooms, and a “honeymoon suite.”

Inside the Trixie Motel in Palm Springs 

While the exterior of the motel was eye candy enough, stepping inside was even more of a dream, as the pink-and-green palette continued throughout. 

As Whitney and Angie met with Trixie in what appeared to be a bar/central gathering area, we spotted gorgeous pink velvet barstools, a pink-and-green tiled backsplash, and pink-and-green wallpaper with a flamingo print. Additionally, numerous gold details could be seen throughout, with gold faucets, cabinet handles, barware, and more. 

Inside the Trixie Motel Rooms

In addition to all the pink and green, some rooms transported us back to the ’60s, with pink, orange, and yellow geometric patterns, golden yellow plush-padded accent walls, and colorful tiled floors. 

 A bathroom was outfitted with hexagon pink tile, pink wallpaper, and more gold accessories. It also featured more florals and green plants for an extra touch. 

Additionally, in Episode 404, the ladies toured the entirety of the motel to choose their rooms, seeing all the amazing suites in the process. Included in the mix are the "Honeymoon Suite," the "Yeehaw Cowgirl Suite," a multicolored suite with a hot pink bathtub. 

The ladies also got a peek at four more one-of-a-kind rooms: "Pink Flamingos," "Queen of Hearts," "Malibu Barbara," and "Atomic Bombshell."
