Kwame Onwuachi: I think my day-to-day life is much different. Whether I'm in the grocery store or walking my dog, someone usually stops me to say "hello."

Bravotv.com: What would you say is the biggest upside or downside of competing on Top Chef?

KO: The biggest upside is being able to cook for some pretty important chefs on the show. It's always good when you get to cook for people with amazing palates, it makes you a better cook through their feedback.

Bravotv.com: What is the biggest lesson you've learned from your time on Top Chef?

KO: The biggest lesson I have learned is to always represent yourself in the best light in anything you are doing. Basically, keep it professional at all times.

Bravotv.com: What are you working on now?

KO: I've started a restaurant group and I am working on opening a couple of restaurants. Fast casual and an a al carte Modern American Restaurant.

Bravotv.com: What is a meal you had growing up that's impacted the way you think of food?

KO: Gumbo. It's a perfect balance of flavor in one bowl.

Bravotv.com: What ingredient or dish do you find overrated or overused?

KO: Uni.

Bravotv.com: What are some career goals you have for the next few years?

KO: To first and foremost be happy...and to open up two restaurants in the next two years.
