As Kelsey Barnard Clark prepares to welcome a daughter in the fall, she is ready to decorate the little one's room with the most stunning furniture and décor.
"Finally picked out bedding and a color palette for baby girl's room," the Bravo's Top Chef Season 16 winner wrote in a June 23 Instagram Story showing gray checkered bedding. "And I am INTO it."
Kelsey shared two other photos of rooms she turned to for inspiration, both of which featured green and pink floral curtains. While one of the photos focused on a white chair with a pink and white striped pillow, the other showed a white bed with pink and white pillows.
As for the wall décor, Kelsey plans to place meaningful mementos around the little one's sleeping space. "Hanging my great grandmother's china above her bed like this," she captioned a separate inspiration photo. "I hope she likes all the vintage - including her hand-me-down name."
Adding a vintage touch is something Kelsey incorporates in the details throughout her Dothan, Alabama home. As she explained in February: "I pretty much always use family keepsakes as art to tie it all together and make it fit the antique, classic feel of the house."
"Rules I go by: 1- I don’t buy just for the sake of filling a space 2- I don’t buy random art ; I collect keepsakes from trips, use family [mementos] or commission something meaningful," she continued. "3- It doesn’t go on the wall if it isn’t personal or have a hidden meaning."
A personal touch is certainly visible in Kelsey's son Monroe's colorful "big boy room," which features a monogrammed pillow, adorable animal-print wallpaper, and blue accents throughout.
