Padma Lakshmi & Her Daughter Are Too Cute While “Twinning” in Jumpsuits
The Top Chef host and her teen daughter hit New York City in sporty ’70s-inspired styles.
Last year was a “big year” for Padma Lakshmi’s daughter, Krishna, who “got her nose pierced, took her braces off, and celebrated her Bat Mitzvah,” as Padma shared in a July 2022 Instagram post. More recently, the Bravo’s Top Chef host/judge and her daughter showed how in sync they are by wearing coordinated outfits.
In a February 16 Instagram post, Padma documented the mother-daughter pair in matching jumpsuits. Mom posed in a short-sleeved black zip-up number, while the teenager rocked a short-sleeved blue denim style.
“Twinning and winning,” Padma captioned the series, which showed how they paired their ’70s-inspired outfits with not only aviator sunglasses but also roller disco–ready skates.
“Littlehands had the day off of school so we took my new Christmas skates out for a spin… I guess we were effortless at some point but I don’t have evidence of that portion of the afternoon,” Padma added.
“LOVE THIS,” Andy Cohen commented on the post, showing his appreciation for the adorable mother-daughter moment.
Further in the post, Padma shared a video of herself and Krishna putting their skates to work as they glided down the sidewalk.
She also shared a screenshot of a Twitter user who hilariously commented on Padma’s “effortlessly” skating by on Broadway in New York City.
The Love, Loss, and What We Ate author shared an update on her daughter in December 2022, revealing that her teen had a little “bit of a goth vibe.”
In a sweet mother-daughter photo shared to her Instagram at the time, Padma shared that Netflix’s Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, is at the top of their queue these days.
“Lately, when Littlehands gets home, the first thing she wants to do is cuddle up and watch Wednesday together,” Padma captioned a collection of Instagram snaps of herself and Krishna over the years, adding, “I guess I’m not surprised — she’s always had a bit of a goth vibe.”
