Padma Lakshmi isn't shy about her love for nachos. In the past, the Bravo's Top Chef judge has described the crunchy snack as a delicious part of her self-care routine. She's schooled her Instagram followers on how to properly make the crispy indulgence — even though she veers from the traditional recipe herself. "Really, you're supposed to make nachos in the oven," she's shared. "Not in the microwave, like we usually do at midnight."
In a recent interview with Women's Health, Padma shared more about her tendency to spring for nachos as her late-night nosh. "I have midnight nacho night with [my daughter] Krishna probably once or twice a week,” she told the magazine.
Nacho nights aren't the only way the author bonds with her daughter in the kitchen. "I’m trying to think through the practice of cooking with Krishna," she said. "I want to pass down more than just heritage and culture—also how to live ethically, and be kind and fair and detail-oriented. There are metaphors for life that you can find in the act of cooking."
