Here's How You Can Take a Cooking Class With The Chew's Carla Hall in Real Life

Bravo's Top Chef alum Carla Hall will break down her favorite soul food recipes in the flesh.

By Tamara Palmer

Carla Hall is readying the release of her new cookbook Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration, which drops on October 23 via Harper Wave. She's already on tour for the book, offering signings and cooking demonstrations in select cities around the country. There are plenty of ways to say "hootie hoo" to Carla and learn how to make some of her favorites in the next few months.

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef Season 21 Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Tickets are available to see her demonstrate soul food recipes from the book in Chicago (September 28), New York (November 7) and Washington, DC (December 1). She's also doing a tasting event at the New York Food & Wine Festival (October 11), a Sunday brunch at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in Orlando (October 28), a dinner with signed books in Richmond, VA (November 4) and dinner at New York's revered James Beard House (November 15). All ticket links can be found through her event page.

"The reason I wanted to write this book was to educate people that there is a difference between everyday soul food and celebration foods, and to get people to really stop thinking about just the celebration soul foods like mac and cheese, and greens, and fried chicken," she told People of the book's mission.

And she's touring the country to tell you all about it in the flesh.
