Top Chef's Fatima Ali Shares Heartbreaking Update on Her Terminal Cancer: "Right Now All I Need Are Prayers"

After Bravo's Top Chef Season 15 Fan Favorite Chef Fatima Ali wrote an essay to share the news that her cancer had returned, she committed to making the most of her days. And she got right to it by booking tables at restaurants she's always wanted to visit, indulging in simple everyday pleasures... and even appearing as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. But in recent days, her Instagram posts sharing these experiences with fans had slowed.

Now, she has offered a heartbreaking update in the form of a new Instagram post from her hospital bed. "I know it’s been ages since I posted and most may have figured out why," she shared with her followers. "I’m sick and unfortunately I’m getting sicker. Right now all I need are prayers; prayers that are simple. I hope, because a wish is putting on too much responsibility on the other, that you will somehow find forgiveness in your big heart for whenever I must have hurt you."

She ended her caption with gratitude: "I thank you a million times over for when you have given me joy. I’ll try to keep everyone updated the best that I possibly can."

Among the outpouring of supportive comments from fans were those from her Top Chef family. Padma Lakshmi wrote, "I'm coming Boo! Hold on tight."
