The James Beard Foundation has just announced the list of semifinalists in the running for its 2019 Restaurant and Chef Awards. And — as a matter of pride but hardly any surprise for Bravo's Top Chef — the diverse list includes 15 names associated with the competition.

Watch Top Chef Season 21 Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

The names include an array of chefs who competed on the show — all of whom appeared on Season 9 or later with just one exception. Top Chef, now in its 16th season, takes the competition to Kentucky.

After the committee and judges vote, the list will shrink to five finalist nominees in each category, slated to be announced on March 27 at a press conference in Houston. The James Beard Awards Gala is set for May 6 in Chicago.
