Though many doubted their relationship, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have proved everyone wrong… the wedding is, after all, only two months away and they’re buying a new house (see a peek of it here!). And on last night’s season finale of Vanderpump Rules, the couple were the epitome of bliss and happiness at their engagement party.

Held at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in the Topanga area of Los Angeles, the al fresco event took place amidst the restaurant’s beautiful trees, all lined with sparkling lights. “The theme for the engagement party is enchanted forest and I have done so much to prepare,” Brittany explained. “All I need are some little birds to come chirpin’ on my shoulder or some legit little fairies flying around!”

Jax was understandably reticent about the event at first — the party’s price tag was a whopping $14,000! “This is like a solid wedding, let alone an engagement party,” he said during the show. But alas he came around, adding, “This is the new Jax, I kind of just roll with the punches.”

And Brittany was thrilled with the final results.“I couldn’t be more proud of how this party turned out, this is really happening for me,” Brittany exclaimed. “I’m really going to be a bride, I’m really getting married, this is actual fairytale dreams and I’m livin’ it!”
