The Vanderpump Rules astrologer kicked off her birthday festivities this week with a fun-filled night surrounded by friends. The shindig, which went down days before her actual birthday, was hosted at The Bungalow in Huntington Beach, California, where Ally was joined by her boyfriend, James Kennedy, as well as his Vanderpump Rules castmate Scheana Shay and her husband, Brock Davies.
On Saturday, January 13, Ally took to Instagram to provide an inside look at the early birthday party and shared an optimistic message about the upcoming year. “28, let’s make it great,” she captioned the post.
The carousel included a handful of snaps that showed Ally enjoying the night with James and her party guests, as well as a shot of her sitting beside her dog before the big night. “My aesthetic is now just matching [H]ippie,” she captioned the latter picture.

Ally attended the celebration in a flowy spaghetti-strap dress with geometrical and paisley-print patterns. She finished the look with a sleek middle-part hairdo, a pair of tall brown boots, a charm necklace, drop earrings, and a minimal bracelet.
Photos and videos from the night also captured Ally blowing out the candles of her beautiful multi-layered cake. The dessert was covered with powder blue frosting and sprinkles on top, and featured a “Happy Birthday” message piped in bright red icing. Ally also posted an adorable clip of her making several attempts to blow out the tall candles as her friends watched and cheered.
But what would a party be without some music and dancing? Enter Ally’s longtime beau, James, who treated the crowd to a lively DJ set that included ABBA’s hit song “Dancing Queen” and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”
Several days after the party, James shared a sweet birthday post for his girlfriend: "Happy Birthday to my love!!" he captioned a photo of him and Ally sharing a kiss behind a DJ booth. "Words can’t describe how proud I am of you. I hope all your Birthday dreams come true this year. To the stars!"

Last year proved to be an eventful year for Ally and James, as they reached several exciting milestones in their careers and home life. In 2023, the couple moved out of their Los Angeles apartment and relocated to Burbank, where James had purchased his first house. The UK native spoke about the change in Part 2 of Vanderpump Rules: Pumped Up Edition.
“I heard that the two of you just bought a house together?” host Andy Cohen asked.
“I actually just bought a house… James Kennedy’s a homeowner,” the DJ responded. “It’s been a dream; it’s been a long time coming… It’s a three-bedroom, like, little gray home. It’s got a pool in the back. It’s got a dream studio. Ally Bally is bringing the cats We’re all gonna live together!”
