Katie Maloney-Schwartz Made a Major Change to Her Wedding Ring: Before & After Pics
The Vanderpump Rules cast member put some dazzling new touches on her heart-shaped tanzanite stone.
When Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz said their wedding vows for a second time (his time with a marriage license in tow) the Tom Tom co-owner slipped a wildly unique ring onto his wife's finger.
Designed with help from jeweler Kyle Chan, who also designed Brittany Cartwright's sparkler (see in the video above), Katie's ring featured a sparkling blue stone in the shape of a heart. And since their Las Vegas ceremony, Katie and Tom have added some new touches to her tanzanite stunner.
In an Instagram snap, the Vanderpump Rules cast member shared before-and-after images of her heart-shaped ring. The tanzanite stone was previously set in a thick, 14-carat, rose-gold band. Now, the band has been replaced by a much thinner variation, and there are two white diamonds flanking the central stone. (It almost looks like the heart has angel wings!) Heart ring 2.0 has a daintier look overall, and the tanzanite stone appears to glitter even more brightly.
Fittingly, it sounds like working on the ring was a labor of love for Chan. "It was my greatest joy to recreate this ring with [Katie and Tom]," he wrote. "I love you guys very much."
