Stassi Schroeder Is Making Major Changes to Her New $1.7M Home
The Vanderpump Rules author reveals her renovation plans for her new Hollywood Hills house.
When she was on the hunt for a dream house to share with fiancé Beau Clark, Stassi Schroeder knew she wanted something old — bonus points if it was haunted! And that’s just what the Vanderpump Rules couple got. The stunning $1.7 million Spanish-style home is nestled in the Hollywood Hills (not the Valley, where most of her cast mates now reside!), but according to Stassi, an old home also comes with a whole lot of things that need to be changed.
“Once we got it, we were like, ‘Oh shoot, we have to renovate it.’ Because we wanted an older home and we wanted to make it our own,” Stassi told BravoTV.com (watch the full video above!). How does much time do they have to get the renovations done prior to moving in? Um, just one month!
As for what they’re focusing on, Stassi’s main complaint is the bright wood throught the home. “Cherry wood, dunzo, you’re not going to see one lick of it,” she told us. “I bought an all cherry wood home — I loathe cherry wood. Cherry wood, to me, is the absolute worst. And there was a moment when we were looking at our house and I’m like, we hate cherry wood and we bought a full cherry wood home.”
Beyond stripping the cherry out of the home, the couple has some other major design hurdles to tackle before moving in, too. “Redoing bathrooms, redoing a deck, redoing the floors, redoing the railing, turning one of the rooms into my closet, knocking down a wall so that it can be a big office. So, there’s a lot,” Stassi shared. “I want to rip my hair out, or my hair extensions, I should say.”
We can’t wait to see the finished product, Stassi!
