Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix Spill Every Detail on Their “Forever Home”

The Vanderpump Rules couple combined their eclectic styles to create a space they never want to leave.

Since the purchase of their $2 million farmhouse-style West Hollywood abode in 2019, Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix have been taking their time turning the house into their dream home. Now, the Vanderpump Rules couple has completed the project, and couldn’t be more excited to show the world their beautifully designed space. In a May interview with BravoTV.com, Tom and Ariana explained it was carefully decorated by infusing elements of both of their personalities along the way. But that wasn’t always an easy process.

“I feel like normally when it comes to decor in a house with a guy and a girl, it can be very like, ‘Okay, the girl just kind of does everything, the guy is like, I just added this one thing,’” said Tom. “But we obviously both have very strong personalities. You see a nice mix of Ariana and myself in there.”

“We definitely had moments where one of us is really adamant about something, and the other one is not really feeling it,” Ariana admitted. “You compromise on those moments.”

The couple worked with interior designers Lucinda Pace and Andrew Pancer of Concept XL while Elizabeth Montgomery elevated the exterior, but the creative team helped with more than just decor. Ariana said Andrew and Lucinda were available not only to “bounce ideas off” but to work as a sort of mediation when she and Tom couldn’t see eye-to-eye. There’s power in numbers, Tom joked, as he felt “a lot better being outvoted by three to one” when he came up with ideas that Ariana wasn’t on board with and vice versa.

Although Ariana said “not all ideas are winners,” it’s clear that with high risk comes high reward. From an incredible live green wall installation (which is playfully nicknamed “Moss Angeles”) to an intricate crystal mirror, the home is full of plenty of bold statement pieces. However, there’s one major downside to having so many unique design elements: It makes it really tricky to pick a favorite room. Noting that it’s just about “a tie” between each one, they were finally able to narrow it down.

“Decor-wise, I’m a big fan of our front living room,” explained Tom, pointing to the variety of “nice colors” the space features. “A lot of personality going on in that room.”

“I love our bedroom,” said Ariana. “That might be my favorite room. It’s also the room I feel like I spend the most time in. It’s very comfy.”

And who can blame her for spending lots of time in their bedroom? The space features a custom-made credenza, equipped with an espresso machine, a milk frother, and “everything” one could need to start each morning off with the perfect vibe. “He makes me a coffee in the morning,” Ariana gushed. “It’s very cute.”

As another treat for Ariana, Tom came up with a genius plan to provide more closet space: knock down a wall between their bedroom’s closet and the separate linen closet to create a dream wardrobe. Now that she’s got more space, there’s just one thing left to do: “I need to organize my closet,” said Ariana, to which Tom added, “You have a lot of clothes.”

Another innovative use of space was Tom and Ariana’s decision to dedicate a room to serve all of their content-creating needs. From Zoom meetings to photoshoots, “cool wallpaper” and a “matching rug” complete the ideal studio for the couple’s most creative endeavors.

“It’s so funny because so many things seem to just fall apart but then fall together last year,” recalled Ariana. “It’s great to have a room you can go into that’s quiet, and the wallpaper looks cool, so you have a great background and [can] get yourself all set up where you can just have a little private talk.”

“Yeah, and we put a bunch of costumes in the closets, too,” said Tom, proving that they truly thought of everything.

With all of the time and energy that went into perfecting their house, Tom and Ariana don’t have plans to leave anytime soon.

“This feels like a forever home, for sure,” Tom explained. Ariana agreed, noting that there’s only one situation in which the couple would uproot. “As long as we’re living in Los Angeles, this is a forever Los Angeles home. I can only imagine moving out of this house if we were just gonna completely leave LA and decide to move to the woods.”
