Tom Schwartz Is in a “Honeymoon Phase”: Here’s Why
The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared a spirited update on what he’s been doing lately.
Back in 2019, Tom Schwartz gave us a rundown of some of the contents of his refrigerator, which included a slew of “infused honeys” that would likely be the envy of mixologists worldwide. “It makes me happy every time I look at them,” he shared, noting his love of exploring all things cocktail-related.
In addition to crafting specialty drinks for both Tom Tom and Schwartz & Sandy's, the Vanderpump Rules cast member also enjoys trying new spirits. Enter Jeppson's Malört, a brand of Swedish-style liquor flavored with wormwood that’s been called the “worst” alcohol to exist. The brand, long produced and popularized in Chicago, often conjures a look of disgust on the faces of out-of-towners who are dared to throw back a shot. For Schwartz, however, it was love at first bite-ing aftertaste.
“For all my Chicago friends I’ve been meeting at [Schwartz & Sandy’s] and [TomTom] lately [...] you inspired me to purchase these,” the restaurateur wrote over a video of himself revealing three bottles of the liquor. “I’m in my honeymoon phase with Malört.”
Will Schwartz and his bestie/business partner, Tom Sandoval, be serving up some Malört-infused cocktails at either of their establishments anytime soon?
At NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation in May, Schwartz shared what was in store for Schwartz & Sandy’s, noting that the menu included “a little homage to our Midwest roots” (Sandoval is from Missouri, while Schwartz is from Minnesota). Perhaps the duo will put their own West Coast spin on the Windy City spirit!
