Otherwise known as the land of extraordinary pasta, Italy is a tricky place to start cutting back on carbs. But it looks like Stassi Schroeder's managed to do just that as she and fiancé Beau Clark explore wedding venues in Rome

In an Instagram Story from October 24, the Vanderpump Rules bride-to-be captured the scene at an idyllic lunch replete with Aperol Spritz cocktails. Showing off her own plate, which was loaded with fresh vegetables and a chunk of fresh, creamy cheese, Stassi wrote, "Bridal diet."

Then, she panned over to Beau's plate, which held a pizza piled with thin slices of meat. She proceeded to describe that dish with three words: "Not bridal diet."

Still, Beau had no regrets about the carbohydrates before him. "Uh, we're in frickin' Italy," he reminded his future wife. "The fact that you have that is pathetic, unless there's bread. You need a lot of bread with that."

Though bread is tough to resist, Stassi's super-fans know that she's like Teflon when it comes to avoiding that temptation. On her Straight up with Stassi podcast, the newly engaged SURver recently said, "Italian food is my favorite type of food. I follow #RomeFood, #ItalianFood on Instagram, OK? It’s just like watching porn. I’m not actually going to cheat on my fiancé, and I’m not actually going to cheat on [my diet], but it kind of makes sense in my head. Sometimes, I feel like looking at those photos I get just as much satisfaction out of, like, eating it."

Let's try that theory on for size. Check out snaps from Beau and Stassi's Roman lunch, below:
