Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval Reveal Secrets About Tom Tom's Menu: "We Shouldn't Even Say What's in There..."
Tom Tom partners Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval have some spoilers to share.
With Tom Tom's official opening right around the corner, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval have been fine-tuning ideas for their cocktail program. They've been menu-testing for months, and although the Vanderpump Rules "work spouses" haven't completely finalized everything, there is an early favorite that it might be wise to ask about, should you find yourself able to belly up to their new bar with Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd.
So what's the Tom's pick for the must-order cocktail on their menu?
"The Gentleman's Curse — it's a beautiful drink," Sandoval revealed to The Feast at Tom Tom's soft opening.
"Well, that one is still being worked on!" Schwartz interrupted, just as Sandoval was about to say what's in it.
"No it's not!" Sandoval playfully fired back. "Okay, how about the Simon Phoenix?"
Schwartz added, "We're still naming the cocktails."
But that didn't stop Sandoval from continuing: "The Simon Phoenix, a.k.a. Radiant Child, is an amazing absinthe cocktail with fresh pineapple juice, a habanero-infused agave with —"
Not so fast, Schwartz asserted: "We tweaked that recipe, so that's not right. Don't be scared. We're going to have absinthe. It just feels right drinking absinthe in there."
Sandoval teased, "We shouldn't even say what's in there."
But that didn't stop Schwartz from revealing more: "It has absinthe, it has fresh pineapple juice, it has lemon juice, it has habanero crystals."
With the cat out of the bag, Sandoval had more on that fiery pepper taste. "When you drink this drink and inhale, it just reignites all the flavors!" he said.
Now that you (kinda) know what to drink, it might also be good to know the secret into getting into Tom Tom once it's officially open.
"Everybody is welcome," Schwartz told The Feast.
Sandoval added: "Except there's an 18-part handshake. I learned it in a night, it's not that big of a deal."
