James Brolin Turned Down the Role of Superman

James Brolin says he turned down the role of Superman and later wished he hadn’t. He explains that after starring in Night of the Juggler, The Amityville Horror, Skyjacked and Westworld, he just couldn’t see himself in costume while hanging up by some wires. He says there were aspects of the role that he thought would change the direction of his career, adding that everything slowed down for him until Aaron Spelling approached him with Hotel.
