José Andrés Says Washington D.C. Has the Best Food in the Country

During “Food for Thought,” José Andrés says his favorite late-night snack is white bread, peanut butter and caviar. He loves it so much that it makes him say “Oh baby!” He associates Cuban rice with growing up, revealing that his mother made the dish that Cubans aren’t familiar with, but Spaniards definitely are. He also says he doesn’t understand showy salt sprinkling and thinks Washington, D.C. has the best food in the country, along with Virginia and Maryland.
